ADESTE+ AUDIENCE DEVELOPMENT SUMMER SCHOOL

The ADESTE+ (Audience Development STrategies for cultural organizations in Europe) Summer School is the central event of the ADESTE+ project in 2020. It gathers experts in the field of audience development from across Europe, working with professionals from the cultural sector and the interested public.

The 2020 Summer School and European Conference, originally scheduled to take place in Rijeka from September 21-25, have been moved online due to current epidemiological conditions. These sessions are being held over the course of several weeks, from August 31 to October 28. Through these online meetings, audience development experts and professionals from cultural organizations will engage in lectures, workshops and presentations on best practices and methodologies. The objectives of the conference remain the same: to develop new ways of working with the audience, enact organizational change, cooperate with European partners, attract new audiences, and increase the participation and engagement of existing audiences.

The application deadline for the Online Summer School is June 30, 2020.

Registration deadlines for the European Conference are generally a few days before each session.

The ADESTE+ Summer School and European Conference were also held in Lisbon in 2019 and are scheduled to take place in Turin in 2021.

The ADESTE+ Summer School and European Conference are financed by the Creative Europe Program of the European Union and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia.

The organizers are the Croatian National Theatre Ivan pl. Zajc in Rijeka and the Kultura nova Foundation in Zagreb. Rijeka 2020 European Capital of Culture is co-organizer.
