From the Danzaria school in his native province of Arezzo, Nicola moved to Pistoia to study dance at the Ax Ballet School in 2015. There he perfected his technique by learning from pedagogues Mauro Murri and Marco du Bouays, as well as from pedagogues associated with the Art University of the Codarts Dance Academy. Nicola received scholarships to ‘by invitation only’ summer courses at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in 2016, to the Juilliard School in New York and to the Royal Danish Ballet School in Copenhagen in 2017.
From 2018, Nicola attended the Cristina Bozzolini Balletto di Toscana school in Florence, where he gained practical knowledge in contemporary dance techniques and at the same time improved his classical ballet repertoire. He has been taught by lecturers such as Lucie Geppi, Eugenio Scigliano, Sabrina Vitangeli, Antonella Cerreto, Angela Placanica, Arianne Benedetti, Giulie Molinari, Alessio Barbarossa and Valerie Longo. During his studies in Florence, he participated in numerous workshops and competitions, and interned in various European dance companies.
In January 2020, Nicola joined the Ballet of the Croatian National Theatre Ivana pl. Zajca, Rijeka. He made his debut at the company’s performance of Giuseppe Spota’s „Hero is tired“ at the Intermezzo Festival in Gera, Germany. So far he danced in “Čipka” by Masa Kolar, “Burning water “ by Andonis Foniadakis , “Odyssey “ by Walter Matteini (the role of Telemach), “Pathetic” by Douglas Lee and “ Le Sacre “ by Masa Kolar.
