Tommy Rous was born in France, where he studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris and danced in the junior company. He was a member of the Opéra National de Bordeaux before joining ballet of Hannover State Opera in September 2015. In Hannover he has been dancing in all productions by choreographer Jörg Mannes and with quest choreographers such as Yaron Shamir, Nils Christe i Georg Reischl. Since 2019 he was dancing under the direction and Marco Goecke, during that time he is collaborating with Medhi Walerski, Andonis Foniadakis, Jiří Kylián, Nadav Zelner and all the productions from Marco Goecke as Thin Skin, Nijinsky, The Lover and Kiss A Crow.
