While we excitedly await Diana Haller’s appearance in the title role of the new version of the baroque opera masterpiece “Julius Caesar in Egypt – Anew” premiering on July 31, we will be able to hear this honorary member of our Opera ensemble in “Nessun Dorma 1” and “Nessun Dorma 2”, on July 23 and 25 at the Square of Rijeka Resolution, a set of concerts which will feature some of the most beautiful opera arias and duets of all time.
This mezzosoprano has experienced a rapid rise on the international opera scene; her singing and stage potential have been confirmed by a number of Croatian and international awards. At the first “Nessun Dorma” concert, she will perform Eboli’s aria from the first act of the opera “Don Carlo” by G. Verdi, as well as Donna Elvira’s arias “Ah, chi mi dice mai” and “In qual eccessi, o Numi…Mi tradi quell’alma ingrata” from the first and second acts of the opera “Don Giovanni” by W.A. Mozart.
Those who come to the second “Nessun Dorma” concert will have the opportunity to hear her performance of Eboli’s aria “Nel giardin di bello” from the first act of Verdi’s “Don Carlo.” Her repertoire will also include Rosina’s aria “Una voce poco fa…” from the first act of the opera “The Barber of Seville” by Rossini, and she will perform in the recitative and duet between Figaro and Rosina, “Ma bravi! Ma benone!…Dunque io son…”
