The premiere of the puppet show for young people and adults, “Oedipus the King” is today, July 3, beginning at 9 PM in the Exportdrvo space. The author of the adaptation and director of the play is award-winning Luciano Delprato from Argentina.
According to the director, “this is a play about the mystery of identity.” This witty performance will be interesting to those who know all the complexities of the Greek tragedy, as well as those who are encountering Sophocles’s famous work for the first time.
Photos from the dress rehearsal can be viewed in the gallery. The puppets were made by Stjepan Buković, Vladimir Tomić, Željko Kranjčević Winter, Rajna Gruden, Ana Blašković, and Snježana Jurić. Performed by actors Edi Ćelić, Dean Krivačić, Mario Jovev, Alex Đaković, and Nikola Nedić.
