Maria had started dancing at a local ballet school in her native Valladolid. At the of age 13 she enroled in and eventually graduated from Escuela Profesional de Danza de Castilla y León. The first company she joined was the junior company Kayzer Ballet, where she worked with choreographers like Ken Ossola. At the age of 21 she took up Superior Studies in Interpretation of Dance at the Conservatory Superior Danza María de Ávila. There her knowledge of movement was expanded and perfected, and Maria was attaining dance maturity by performing pieces signed by Nacho Duato, Tony Fabre, William Forshyte, Alexander Ekman and Fernando Hernando Magadan. Meanwhile she was also partaking in numerous dance projects staged at the Royal Theater of Madrid, the Grand Theater of Geneve and at a private gala of the famous Nederlands Dance Theatre.
At the age of 23 she joined the Landes Theater Detmold under the artistic direction of Richard Lowe. After staying there for two yeras and dancing various roles including several leads (like Clara in “The Nutcracker”), Maria joined ballet of the Croatian National Theatre Ivana pl. Zajca in Rijeka in 2019. Since then she participated in “Nutcracker“ by Mauro de Candia playing the main role of Marie, “Lace”, “Allegro” and „Le Sacre du Printemps“ by Maša Kolar, “Burning water” by Andonis Foniadakis, „Odyssey“ by Walter Matteini where she danced the leading female role of Penelope, and „Pathetique“ by Douglas Lee.
