Jasmina Holbus

Graduated in interior design at Chelsea College of Art & Design in London in 1996. Since 1993 member of the Writers’ Association of Serbia & ULUPUDS since 2007. She has been professionally involved in interior design since 1997. Jasmina is the author of significant realized residential buildings, both in architecture and in the field of interiors and decoration of living spaces of reference clients. She is the author of art projects in architecture and graphic design and video installations (Art Biennale, Barcelona 2005) and the multimedia art-research project Let’s Talk (Staff Gallery, 2016). Published twelve books of poetry. She has been working in the theater as a stage designer since 2003, creating more than forty realized theater plays.

She collaborated with choreographer Maša Kolar on ballets: Don Juan, Molière, Budva City Theater and Bitef dance company; Triad, Zagreb Dance Center & Macbeth, William Shakespeare in the production of Croatian National Theater “Ivana pl. Zajca” Rijeka.

Awards: BITEF Grand Prix for the play The Dreamers, produced by the Yugoslav Drama Theatre; Annual award at ULUPUDS for the best scenography for the play Othello, William Shakespeare; Special award for artistic achievement at XII. The Festival of the Mediterranean Theater of Purgatory for the performance of Macbeth, William Shakespeare in the production of the Bitef Theater from Belgrade and the Tivat Culture Center. ARDALION Award at the XXIII Yugoslav Theater Festival (Užice), for the play Five Life’s of the Sad Milutin, by Milena Marković, produced by Atelje 212 (Belgrade); Annual awards 2019 and 2021 for the best scenography of the Yugoslav Drama Theater for plays by Nathan der Weise, Gotthold Ephraim Lessing and Kaspar by Peter Handke.
