The American operatic baritone began his career in the early 2000s. He is singing the leading roles of the baritone repertoire on numerous international stages of opera houses throughout America and Europe. Furthermore, he performs in concerts and festivals and also acts as a member of the jury in singing competitions. Daniil’s repertoire is extensive withspecial emphasis on the leading roles in the great operas by Verdi and Puccini, such as Jago in Otello, Scarpia in Tosca or Sharpless in Madama Butterfly, Gianni Schicchi e.t.c… Daniil is known for his dramatic approach as a performer with a strong stage presence. His versatility allows him to also sing with equal success various lighter roles by composers such as Mozart (Figaro, Cosi fan tutte, Magic Flute), Bellini (I Puritani), Bizet (Carmen), Offenbach (Les Contes d’Hoffmann) and others. Daniil is the winner of several international singing competitions and has been awarded the Medal of Verdi by the Government of Montecatini Terme, Italy. Alekseenko’s voice is frequently compared to the voices of the great baritones of the past due to its heroic as well as soft, velvety timbre.
