Janne Boere was born and raised in Roosendaal, The Netherlands. He began his professional dance training at just 9 years of age after successfully auditioning for the young dancer programme at Codarts University of the Arts, Rotterdam. In 2015 he received a place on to the Bachelor of Dance performance programme at Codarts from which he graduated in 2019. Janne danced with Tanz Luzerner Theater in Switzerland for one season (2018/2019), under the direction of Kathleen McNurney. During his time there he worked with: Marcos Morau, Cayetano Soto, Georg Reischl, Kinsun Chan and Po-Cheng Tsai. From 2019 until 2022 he was a member of the dance company of Gärtnerplatztheater in Munich, Germany, under the direction of Karl Alfred Schreiner. There he worked with: Eyal Dadon, Ina Christel Johannessen, Marco Goecke, Thomas Hauert, Frédérick Gravel, Felix Landerer, Karl Alfred Schreiner, Rui Horta, among others. In order to broaden his artistic and physical research within dance, he was a part of a Music and Dance Lab in Banff, Canada in 2017 under the direction of Emily Molnar and has also has taken workshops with L-E-V Dance Company (Sharon Eyal), Batsheva Dance Company & Nederlands Dans Theater. For the past three years Janne has also found a passion for choreographing his own works, with which he recently was selected at the 36th International Choreographic Competition Hannover and was a finalist for the 15th Copenhagen International Choreography Competition.
