A great spectacle awaits us this weekend for the opening of the ECoC year – the year in which Rijeka takes on the title of European Capital of Culture. ECoC programs are heating up in Zajc as well, and they are coming to the Rijeka stage one after the other, with the first ECoC concert already scheduled for February 6! We will be hosting the French ensemble Les vents francais, the members of which are each virtuosos on their respective instruments.
Not only the impressive biographies and qualifications of the six musicians attest to the highly-regarded status of this wind ensemble, but also their concert career and rich discography. They have performed in a number of major concert halls and theaters in cities around the world, from the Cologne Philharmonic to the Dortmund Concert Hall, the Mozarteum in Salzburg, the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival and the Kissinger Summer Festival, to the halls and theaters of Copenhagen, Rome, Zürich, Brussels, Paris, Istanbul, Turin, the United States and Japan.
