Sunday morning we started beautifully with the poem “Well, That’s Wonderful” (“Pa to je krasno”) by Enes Kišević, read by our young actor Nikola Nedić. At noon, national opera principal Kristina Kolar sang the aria “Ave Maria” from Mascagni’s opera “Cavalleria rusticana.” The soprano dedicated the aria to the victims of Covid-19, saying, “May my prayer be a comfort and hope to the families of the deceased, the sick and their loved ones.” The final, tenth fairy tale of our cycle “Little Zajc for a Good Night,” “Goldilocks and the Three Bears” by Robert Southey, was told by the director of Croatian Drama, Renata Carola Gatica, in Spanish. She was accompanied by Rijeka Symphony Orchestra musician Osman Eyublu on violin and actor Dean Krivačić on bongos. In addition to the final fairy tale, we also watched the final “Ballet Insomnia” from the set filmed at the Theatre. Ballet photographer and videographer Fanni Tutek Hajnal presented a collage of the best of the ballet solos in one video.
Dear audience, don’t worry; our series of bedtime stories and “Ballet Insomnia” continues, but we have prepared something a little different! Follow our online program “Zajc With You” via the Theatre’s official Facebook page and other social media (Youtube, Instagram, Twitter).
