Yesterday morning’s poetry, “The Reminder” (“Opomena”) by Desanka Maksimović, was read by our drama principal Olivera Baljak. At noon, opera principal Ivana Srbljan sang “Mon Coeur s’ouvre à ta voix” from the opera “Samson and Delilah” by C. Saint-Saënsa. “This aria is my dedication to love,” said the mezzosoprano. “I wish all of us a lot of love, because only love heals, inspires and fulfills.” Our youngest audience enjoyed another of Aesop’s fables, “The Tortoise and the Hare,” told by Croatian drama actress Aleksandra Stojaković Oleniuk. Later in the evening, a trio from the ballet “Serenade” was performed by dancers Laura Orlić, Svebor Zgurić and Hugo Rodrigues, with choreography by Igor Kirov.
