“Zajc With You” has a program every day, and Sunday is no exception. This Sunday was a particularly difficult time, and our artists offer their support to everyone, using their creativity and talent to try to at least somewhat alleviate the relentless events that our country has been facing recently.
Actress Leonora Surian Popov read the poem “Three Grandmothers” (“Tri nonice”) by Drago Gervais. National opera champion Kristina Kolar, accompanied by maestro Igor Vlajnić on piano, performed the aria “Vissi d’arte” from Giacomo Puccini’s opera “Tosca”, which she dedicated to Zagreb and all its people. A bit of cheer for our youngest audience was prepared by actor Giuseppe Nicodemo, accompanied by musicians from the Rijeka Symphony Orchestra Ivo Stefančić, Pedro Rosenthal and Osman Eybulu. They narrated “Puss in Boots / Il gatto con gli,” by Charles Perrault. Dancer Marta Voinea Čavrak performed a solo from the ballet “Rossini Cards” with choreography by Mauro Bigonzetti.
All four of yesterday’s videos are available in the gallery. Follow our official Facebook page and other social media for more (Youtube, Instagram, Twitter), and remember that even in these uncertain times, we need to find time for fantasy!
