The fifth day of our online program “Zajc With You” began with Russian poetry performed by actor Dražen Mikulić, who recited the poem “Who am I? What am I?” (“Tko sam? Što sam?) by Sergej Jesenjin. At noon, opera principal and mezzosoprano Ivana Srbljan sang “Ich bin der Welt abhanden gekommen” from Gustav Mahler’s Rückert-Lieder, which she dedicated to the girl who lost her life in the Zagreb earthquake. Another fairy tale by the Grimm brothers awaited children in the evening: “The Wolf and the Seven Little Goats.” The story was told by drama principal Jasmin Mekić, accompanied by oboist Antonio Haller from the Rijeka Symphony Orchestra. In the late evening, ballet soloist Tea Rušin honored us with a variation from the ballet “Rossini Cards” with choreography by Mauro Bigonzetti.
