Yesterday we started our online program “Zajc With You” with a short Italian poem by Giuseppe Ungaretti titled “Mattina,” performed by actor Anton Plešić. The champion of the Theatre, tenor Domagoj Dorotić, touched everyone with the aria “Recondita armonia” from the opera “Tosca”, by Giacomo Puccini. With the words “the only thing an artist can donate to the world in difficult times is his art,” he elicited many emotional comments of appreciation from our online audience. Before bedtime, the youngest audience members enjoyed the Grimm brothers’ fairytale “The Frog Prince” (Il principe ranocchio), narrated by actress Serena Ferraiuolo, with musical accompaniment by Pedro Rosenthal from the Rijeka Symphony Orchestra. The day closed, of course, with “Ballet Insomnia,” featuring a solo from the ballet “Allegro.” The soloist was Emanuele Amuchástegui, with choreography by Maša Kolar.
