Following the Shakespeare-Verdi-Surian Trilogy devoted to the female gender, the CNT Ivan pl. Zajc is performing the play Down, by Law that speaks of the relation of the society towards children with Down syndrome, announcing the Rossini Cards ballet with the slogan Dance for Freedom.
The Rijeka CNT continues to be a socially responsible theatre, the breakwater of diversity and freedom. On the eve of the day of intensive walks in Rijeka, it is with the performance under the slogan Dance for Freedom that we support the defence of women’s rights, rights of minorities and all the vulnerable groups, as well as the efforts to be a tolerant and free society.
A theatre is not an adornment, but a critical mirror of reality. If lagging behind social developments, it will miss its future. This is why it has to become a forerunner.
