The summer season continues! Be sure not to miss either of these two open-air concerts featuring some of the most beautiful opera arias and duets, Nessun Dorma 1 and Nessun Dorma 2! The concerts will be held on the Square of Rijeka Resolution (Trg Riječke rezolucije) on July 23 and 25, and will start at 9 PM.
The Rijeka Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by a young yet already internationally established maestro from Italy, Beatrice Venezi, who is on the Forbes’ list of the most influential women under 30. Under her guidance, classical music is rid of its stereotypes and becomes accessible to everyone.
Rijeka Opera soloists Kristina Kolar, Anamarija Knego, Diana Haller, Ivana Srbljan, Domagoj Dorotić, Aljaž Farasin, Robert Kolar, Luka Ortar, Marko Fortunato and Vanja Zelčić will perform some of the most popular opera highlights from Verdi’s “Nabucco”, “Don Carlo,” “Traviata,” and “Aida”, Puccini’s “La bohème” and “Turandot”, Mozart’s “Don Giovanni”, Donizetti’s “Lucia di Lammermoor”, Saint-Saëns’s “Samson and Delilah”, Rossini’s “The Barber of Seville”, and Mascagni’s opera “Cavalleria rusticana”.
