Bass-baritone

Born in Sarajevo and raised in England, then studying and living in England and Germany, Dario graduated from the Trinity College of Music in London 2009, where he was awarded the Paul Simm Opera Prize. He has since performed in a number of classic and contemporary works in theater houses across Europe and Asia. His stage credits include, among others: Figaro (Le nozze di Figaro, W.A. Mozart), Albert (Werther, J. Massenet), Leporello (Don Giovanni, W.A. Mozart), Schaunard (La Bohème, G. Puccini), Alidoro (La Cenerentola, G. Rossini), Death (Der Kaiser von Atlantis, V. Ullmann), Barone Douphol (La traviata, G. Verdi), Poeta (Prima la musica e poi le parole, A. Salieri), Luka (The Bear, W. Walton), Simone (La finta semplice, W.A. Mozart), First Shepherd (Daphne, R. Strauss), Nardo (La finta giardiniera, W.A. Mozart), Papageno (Die Zauberflöte, W.A. Mozart), Titone (Cefalo e Procride, G. Bononcini), Betto (Gianni Schicchi, G. Puccini), Fiorello (Il barbiere di Siviglia, G. Rossini), Dancairo (Carmen, G. Bizet), Ben (The Telephone, G.C. Menotti), the Pirate King (Pirates of Penzance, A. Sullivan) and Peachum (Die Dreigroschenoper, B. Brecht). Contemporary works he has premiered include Ježeva kućica at the Théátre Adyar in Paris, Fight Music by Philip Venables with the London Symphony Orchestra, and Without Warning at the Old Vic Tunnels in London, among others.

As a chorister he has worked at the Aix-en-Provence festival, Theater Hof (Germany), Norwegian National Opera, Grange Park Opera, Deutsche Oper, as well as many concerts and CDs with various vocal ensembles.

Since 2020, Dario is a member of the Rijeka Opera Choir at the Croatian National Theatre Ivan pl. Zajc in Rijeka.
