Soon our ballet ensemble will take us on an exciting dance journey, a journey without respite. It is, of course, Odyssey, the long-awaited first ballet premiere of this season, which is scheduled for March 18. Inspired by the works of Homer and Joyce, the artistic and choreographic tandem of Walter Matteini and Ina Broeckx have imagined their journey of an eternal traveler. Like a twisted reflection in the mirror, the ancient hero becomes at the same time a modern antihero. Because the ballet Odyssey is a story of mythical history that serves as a story about the present.
Prepare yourselves. We will soon embark on a journey together through the landscapes of the past and present painted with dance movement.
