Starting from today the 13 March, tickets are on sale for the spectacular opera, Verdi’s masterpiece Aida, on the 27 July and the celebrated Orff’s cantata Carmina Burana on the 29 July in the Pula Arena!

This summer you can experience two famous classical works in the production of the CNT Ivan pl. Zajc Opera in one of the most important cultural monuments in Croatia, one of the best-preserved amphitheatres in the world!
The Rijeka Opera prima donna Kristina Kolar is in the role of Aida, the national opera soloist of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb Dubravka Šeparović Mušović in the role of Amneris, Fabio Armiliato in Radames, Giorgio Surian in Amonasro, while Carlo Colombara in that of Ramfis. The eminent Maestro Marco Boemi will conduct the Rijeka production of Aida in the Pula Arena.

Carl Orff set to music medieval verses, having thus created one of the most famous cantatas of the twentieth century – the monumental Carmina Burana for orchestra, chorus and soloists. Under the baton of Maestro Ville Matvejeff, this musical spectacle will be enhanced by the world-famous opera superstar soprano Sumi Jo and excellent Rijeka Opera soloists Marko Fortunato and Robert Kolar.
