Yesterday morning we heard the poem “I Create” (“Pravim”) by the Croatian writer Zvonimir Balog. The poem was recited by Croatian Drama actor Mario Jovev. At noon, opera principal Robert Kolar sang the aria “Di provenza il mar il suol” from the opera “La traviata” by Giuseppe Verdi. He instructed everyone to “try to see this period as an opportunity for a catharsis of the human race toward something better and more authentic.” Our youngest audience had the opportunity to hear one of Aesop’s fables, “The Lion and the Mouse.” This story of friendship and gratitude was told by actress Elena Brumini. Late in the evening, an excerpt was presented from the ballet “Pulcinella”, which premiered at the end of the last season, with choreography by Giovanni Di Palme.
