Yesterday we celebrated World Theatre Day with the online program “Zajc With You”.
In the morning, drama principal Aleksandar Cvjetković read Miroslav Antić’s “Page from the Diary” (“Stranicu iz dnevnika”), about his first school love. At noon, opera principal Robert Kolar sang the “Zrinjski Romance” (“Romanca Zrinjskog”) from the opera “Nikola Šubić Zrinjski” by Ivan pl. Zajc, which he dedicated to all those who are bravely and selflessly helping those who need it most. Our youngest viewers enjoyed the fairy tale “The Ugly Duckling” by Hans Christian Andersen, told by actor Edi Ćelić. He was accompanied by Rijeka Symphony Orchestra musician Matej Pavić on the clarinet. Later in the evening, ballet principal Michele Pastorini performed an improvisation on the theme of the warmth and security of home.
