We began Saturday with the poem “Ti auguro tempo” by poeta Elli Michler, performed by Italian drama actress Elena Brumini. At noon, Slavko Sekulić performed the aria “Fiesco” from Verdi’s opera “Simon Boccanegra,” with piano accompaniment by maestro Igor Vlajnić. The aria was dedicated to the Arts and to all artists who are unjustly but reasonably suppressed during these difficult times. Our youngest viewers enjoyed another fairy tale penned by the Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen. Actor Dean Krivačić told the story “The Emperor’s New Clothes,” and was accompanied by musicians from the Rijeka Symphony Orchestra: Matej Pavić on clarinet and Osman Eyublu on violin. At the end of the day, ballet dancer Tilman Patzak presented another improvisation in which he sent everyone positive thoughts, with the hope that he and his colleagues in the ensemble will shortly be able to perform their improvisations on stage in front of an audience.
