Autumn premiere

Never enough of comedies in Rijeka! Zajc Stand-Up is a devised theatre by Borko Perić and actors of the Croatian drama company, Anastazija Balaž, Jasmin Mekić and Dean Krivačić, who, together with the musician Mario Knezovi, are getting to grips with one of the hardest performing forms – the stand-up. To be open and direct, in the eye contact with the audience that in the direct communication with the actors become the active participant of the performance, at the same time also direct critic, expecting great acting skills, exceptional concentration, also readiness to improvise, an instant reaction. The idea is the extreme exposure of actors that keep balancing on the fine border between fiction and faction. Anastazija, Jasmin and Dean are playing with their own biographies and looking at themselves as characters; they challenge their own prejudices as well as the context in which they occur.
