ACOUSTIC PROJECT: FOLKLORE FUSION

Folklore Fusion is a project of creating a music program inspired by the richness of folklore traditions that still exist as living traditions in this area. The goal is not simply to arrange folk dances and tunes, but to create new musical material that simultaneously outlines the roots as well as the contemporary musical moment in which we find ourselves. The project is comprised of new compositions inspired by Croatian folklore.

The Acoustic Project Ensemble is a unique phenomenon in the Croatian music scene. With its work thus far in combining the performing traditions of classical music with jazz, tango, rock, Asian music, etc., it has erased the boundaries of the classical understanding of music and opened new paths for interpretation.
