TICKET SALES FOR THE JANUARY PROGRAM ARE IN PROGRESS: HURRY!

4 January 2021

After the performances of the dazzling ballet The Nutcracker on January 4, 7, 12 and 13, the first month of the new year brings reprises of popular plays by favorite Argentine director Luciano Delprato, and even two symphony concert performances.

Delprato’s adaptation of Boccaccio’s “Decameron”, which on more than one occasion caused the audience to cry tears of laughter, is scheduled for January 16. In addition to that, the play which the audience awarded as both the best show by the Croatian Drama and the best show in Zajc’s entire program last season, Delprato’s adaptation of Sophocles’s “Oedipus the King”, will have further performances on January 19, 20 and 22.

For fans of the concert program, the chief conductor Valentin Egel will lead the Rijeka Symphony Orchestra in two performances of the concert “Zajc, Beethoven, Shostakovich: Milestones”, on January 9 and 11. The concert program features works that marked milestones in the work of their authors, such as the overture from the opera Mislav by Ivan pl. Zajc, Beethoven’s Concerto for Violin and Orchestra, and Dmitry Shostakovich’s First Symphony.
