LA PASIÓN ESPAÑOLA DE DIANA HALLER / SPANISH PASSIONS, recital by Diana Haller

Having made her hometown audience enthusiastic with her gala concert, followed by the role of Julius Caesar, the mezzo-soprano Diana Haller returns to the Rijeka Croatian National Theatre with “Spanish Passions”. Accompanied by Filip Fak on piano, she will sing “Siete canciones populares  Españolas“ (Seven Spanish Folk Songs) by Manuel de Falla, one of his most popular and frequently performed Spanish works ever. Of different styles and origin in varied parts of Spain, they deal with love and the courting process, also of the wild desire for revenge on the unfaithful lover.

Next to the songs by famous Spanish authors, Diana Haller will also sing Rossini, his “Canzonetta spagnola” and “Aragonese”, as well as a few songs by Hugo Wolf from the  “Spanisches Liederbuch“ cycle.

Knowing Diana Haller’s superior interpretative art, her suggestibility, impressiveness, entering the spirit of music and her passion for it, we are convinced that the audience can look forward to an unforgettable concert evening.
