The opera principal Ivana Srbljan, a mezzo-soprano who captivates audiences and critics alike with her musicality and skillful acting, will perform at the concerts of arias and duets “Nessun Dorma 1” and “Nessun Dorma 2” on the Square of Rijeka Resolution on July 23 and 25, starting at 9 PM. (In case of rain, these concerts will be held inside the Zajc main building.)
This season, you could witness Ivana Srbljan as the passionate Carmen in Bizet’s opera of the same time, directed and dramatized by Marin Blažević. She then appeared in the role of the loyal Branganë in Richard Wagner’s opera “Tristan and Isolde”, directed by Anne Bogart, and in the role of Orpheus in the play “Practicing Life – Second Time” under the direction of Marin Blažević.
In the “Nessun Dorma” concerts, Ivana Srbljan will sing Amneris and Ramfis’s “Ohimè! Morir mi sento,” from Act 4 of Verdi’s opera Aida.
In addition, at the first “Nessun Dorma” concert, she will perform in the finale of Aida; then she will sing Delilah’s recitative and aria “Samson, recherchant ma presence… Amour, viens aider ma faiblesse” from Act 2 of the opera Samson and Delilah by Camille Saint-Saëns.
In the second concert, the audience will hear her performance of Delilah’s aria, “Mon coeur s’ouvre a ta voix”.
