A warm summer evening under the stars. Someone speaks up, looking for someone—who knows whom. There is singing, perhaps someone starts playing an instrument, and bit by bit, an imaginary and melancholically comedic image takes shape, one dear to Federico Fellini. At first, it feels like a run-down cabaret: songs, sketches, stories, and dazed characters reveal a gentle and irresistible humanity, made up of dreamers, seducers, nostalgic souls, and people searching for a special night.
Then, something happens. The lights change, the music swells, and what seemed to be a performance transforms into a true dance celebration. The musicians pick up the tempo while the actors and dancers draw the audience into the dance. The boundary between the floor and the stage disappears, and the evening becomes one big collective dance.
