Ticket sales for specific July programs have begun!
The play “Oedipus the King”, directed by Luciano Delprato is scheduled for July 3 and 4. The play was created in collaboration with the City Puppet Theatre of Rijeka, and is intended for young people and adults, for all those who want to experience Sophocles as their contemporary. This is a classic for the new generation.
The symphony concert “BECOME RIVER – Adams, Shostakovich” conducted by maestro Ville Matvejeff awaits you on July 15. You will witness the Croatian premiere of the song “Become River” by popular American composer John Luther Adams. You will also hear Dmitry Shostakovich’s Twelfth Symphony, subtitled “Year 1917.” The symphony is considered a folk heroic epic, and is dedicated to Vladimir Lenin.
The open-air concerts featuring some of the most famous opera arias and duets, “Nessun Dorma 1” on July 23 and “Nessun Dorma 2” on July 25, guarantee you the most beautiful summer evening! They will be conducted by Beatrice Venezi, and will feature Rijeka opera soloists Kristina Kolar, Anamarija Knego, Vanja Zelčić, Diana Haller, Ivana Srbljan, Domagoj Dorotić, Aljaž Farasin, Marko Fortunato, Robert Kolar and Luka Ortar.
