Premiere rePUBLIC IN THE ORCHESTRA PITBADco
CNT Ivan pl. Zajc, BADco., Chicago Cultural Centre and Museum of Contemporary Art Zagreb
Placed in the orchestra pit, this production turns to historical interpretations, of the Hoppla, wir leben by Ernst Toller, the material from the performance Opla-Stick by Paolo Scheggi, complex score Etudes Boreales for cello by John Cage, as well as the choreographic score for impossible dances of Goat Island, the cult Chicago performance collective. In the times, in which, according to a famous philosopher, it is easier to imagine the end of the world than the end of capitalism, it is the impossible that the BADco. encourages us to practice. In co-operation with the Croatian and the Italian Drama, the performance collective BADco. will be performing the three part production based on the crossroads of historical modernist, post-modernist and contemporary artistic practices that have confronted the issue of relations between the powerlessness and imagination.
