WIDE RANGE OF TITLES IN OCTOBER: TICKET SALES IN PROGRESS!

All October programs are currently on sale! This month offers a wide range of performances to suit everyone’s taste.

Lovers of ballet can expect reprises of the ballet-dance performance “Burning Water” by the world-famous choreographer Andonis Foniadakis, which are scheduled for October 6, 7, 9, 19, 22 and 23, and performances of the ballet “Lace” (“Čipka”) choreographed by Maša Kolar and with original music by Tena Novak on October 16 and 17.

Additional performances of Ivan pl. Zajc’s opera Nikola Šubić Zrinjski, directed by Dora Ruždiak Podolski and conducted by maestro Igor Vlajnić, are scheduled for October 8 and 10. Next on the schedule is the premiere of Bizet’s opera Carmen, specifically the adaptation of the play from the Pula Arena for the stage of the CNT Ivan pl. Zajc. Maestro Valentin Egel will conduct, with Ivana Srbljan and Michela Selinger alternating in the title role. The performances are scheduled for October 24 and 26.

All those who didn’t make it to see Nušić’s legendary comedy “Madam Minister”, directed by Tatjana Mandić Rigonat and starring our celebrated national drama principal Olivera Baljak in the role of Živka Popović, have the opportunity to do so now. Performances will be held on October 13, 14 and 15. Additionally, the Croatian Drama program includes two performances of Argentinian director Luciano Delprato’s successful play “Oedipus the King” on October 29 and 30.

Tickets are also on sale for the Italian Drama play “Il vangelo del nemico” (“Gospel of the Enemy”), directed by Giulia Settima. Performances are October 8 and 21. This play delighted the premiere audience and critics, and even those who do not know Italian can come see it, as the play is performed with Croatian subtitles. The Italian Drama ensemble is preparing another premiere in October: “Adriatico”, directed by Siniša Novković. The play in honor of the common treasure of Croatia and Italy, which are connected by the Adriatic Sea, is scheduled for October 27 and 28.

The concert program features the chamber concert “Acoustic Project: Folklore Fusion” on October 11, and a performance of Mozart’s Requiem on October 31 starting at 6 and 8 PM.

This month we are launching a new cycle of HA HA HNK, which features guest performances of hit comedies on Sundays in Zajc. On October 18, our Theatre will host the play by Luda kuća (“Crazy House”), “Joj, Hrvati!” (“Oh, Croats!”) by director Ivan Đuričić.
