NESSUN DORMA 1
Is there anything more beautiful than a summer evening with the most famous opera arias and duets in the open air? The Rijeka Opera invites you to not one but two such special evenings! The most celebrated soloists of the Rijeka Opera will provide stunning performances of the greatest works from operatic literature, specifically from Verdi’s “Nabucco,” “Don Carlo,” “La Traviata” and “Aida,” Puccini’s “La bohème” and “Turandot,” Mozart’s “Don Giovanni,” Donizetti’s “Lucia di Lammermoor,” Saint-Saëns’s “Samson and Delilah,” Rossini’s “The Barber of Seville,” and Mascagni’s “Cavalleria rusticana.”
The concert will be conducted by Italian conductor Beatrice Venezi, whose skills are recognized by opera houses and orchestras around the world, and who is currently the chief conductor of the Milano Classica Orchestra and the Nuova Orchestra Scarlatti Napoli, as well as guest chief conductor of the Orchestra della Toscana. She is on Forbes’s list of the most influential women under the age of 30, and her work demonstrates how classical music, when free of stereotypes, becomes a global right and beauty that belongs to everyone.
With such a program and conductor, who would want to sleep on July 23 and 25?
