Charles Gounod: FAUST, opera concert performance

Gounod’s Faust, opera based on the legend of the man who sells his soul to the Devil in exchange for knowledge and power, is the first integral opera that Ville Matvejeff together with the Opera orchestra of the Ivan pl. Zajc Croatian National Theatre records for the Real Sound and the Universal Music, the world-known discography brand. Following the recording, we will be able to see the performance of Faust with the top-class soloists. The international soloist cast, such as has not been seen on the Rijeka Opera posters before, features baritone Lucio Gallo, bass Carlo Colombara, tenor Aljaž Farasin, mezzo sopranos Diana Haller and Ivana Srbljan, as well as soprano Marjukka Tepponen, who thrilled the Rijeka audience as a sensational Donna Anna in Don Giovanni, proclaimed by votes of the public as the best performance of the season.
