Co-production with the Teatrul German de Stat Timisoara (German theatre from Timisoara, Romania ); Teatro stabile Sloveno (Slovenian Theatre from Trieste, Italy; National Institution Albanian Theatre Skopje (National Albanian Theatre Institution, Skopje, Macedonia); Kosztolányi Dezső Színház (Kosztolányi Dezső Theatre in Hungarian, Subotica, Serbia)
The Mountain Giants is the last Pirandello’s masterpiece left unfinished due to his death, first presented in 1937. Through the meta-theatre language, a story is told of a theatre company that in a surreal atmosphere, surrounded by strange and mysterious inhabitants, is staging a play in a villa called La Scalogna (Bad luck). In the finale there is an explicit criticism of the bourgeois, ignorant and insensitive towards the art.
