In search of the Croatian cultural heritage, choreographer Maša Kolar looks for inspiration in the national historical tradition and folklore – from historical documents, traditional oral and written literature, music, dances, costumes, to traditional trades, as that of lace making. At the same time, she is asking the question: how much of heritage is alive today, and how much is such a heritage relevant for us? Entering old customs, we can learn much of the social structure, human relations, and reflect them through the performance, confronting them with those of today.
