The royal season opening belongs to the king of bel canto Gaetano Donizetti and his opera “Anna Bolena” from the acclaimed Tudor Trilogy. All the tensions of their destinies are carried on breath waves where the beauty of the human voices lives. There are only royally high expectations to hold onto as everything will be led by an artist with a long international career behind her, Diana Haler. Born in Rijeka, as a mezzo-soprano she will sing as Jane Seymour. More importantly, for the first time, she will take on the role of an opera director. Opera stae Anamarija Knego will be Anna Bolena, and the conductor is the Finnish maestro Ville Matvejeff, the artistic director of one of the largest European opera festivals – Savonlinna.
